Taragana Inc. is co-founded by Angsuman Chakraborty. Angsuman has over 18 years of industry experience in architecting, designing and developing Software products for Fortune 500 to startup companies in USA as well as India.
Angsuman worked as Consultant Architect for Millipore Inc., a Fortune 1000 company.
Before founding Taragana Inc., Angsuman was the Chief Software Architect in Oakland based DoubleTwist Inc., the first company worldwide to annotate the human genome. His stock options were doubled and he got 4 promotions within one year in recognition of his contributions.
Previously he was the Product Lead for Expense Report and Travel Plan products and Technical Lead
for TimeSheet product at Extensity Inc. (now part of Infor). Extensity Expense Report is recognized to be the first enterprise software product in Java. Developed as a web application, Extensity Expense Report is the flagship product of the company, which along with Travel Plan and Timesheet products, eventually leading to its highly successful IPO in 2000. His stock options were doubled in recognition of his contributions.
At Sun Microsystems, he was the project lead for the first enterprise software in Java – Daily Shipment
Reporting Tool.
Angsuman started his career at Infosys where he successfully lead the project to migrate 1.5 million
lines of mission-critical, real-time C++ code which formed the foundation of J.P. Morgan Trading
Platform to Windows 3.1 and Windows NT.
Angsuman graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is Sun Certified
Architect for Java Technologies and completed senior management course from American
Management Association.
